The Feinstein School of Education and Human Development will be hosting its spring conference on Friday, March 27, 2015. This year’s theme is Building Bridges between Research & Practice: Connecting Students to Professional Communities. The goal of the conference is to provide faculty, students and community partners to share and reflect on research and practice as a professional community, and to introduced FSEHD students to their community of practice. Please consider sharing yoru professional knowledge with colleagues, students and partners! Some ideas include: professional expertise, research, a specific project, an innovative teaching strategy, lead a discussion etc.
The conference will be a hybrid format that includes both traditional conference style presentations and more informal UnConference presentations. Traditional presentations will include 3-4 presenters sharing their research with participants, followed by a question and answer session. The UnConference presentations are more of a dialogue with participants on a topic lead by the presenter(s).
Conference proposals should include the title of your presentation and a brief (250-300 words) description of the topic. Please indicate your preference of presentation style (traditional or UnConference). Proposals should be sent to Whitney Blankenship (firstname.lastname@example.org) no later than 5 pm on Friday, March 13.
